Back on Jan 12, I went to Oakland to check out the False Prophet/Possessed show and got a chance to hang out with pioneering death metal guitarist/vocalist Paul Ray, the founding member of False prophet. We talked about all things Prophet- history, industry changes, band shakeups, long hiatuses, current Prophet activity, and Paul's mighty knobs! Paul is a very candid, very honest, and very down to earth dude that had a lot of enticing things to say about the state of the band and what we can expect from them in the new future! And of course, we talked about current guitarist Scott Pivarnick as well as Craig Gillespie from Divine Treachery and Matt Francis from Ergodic, both of whom are part of False Prophet's current lineup. Don't miss this rare backstage interview with a true legend! So Thanks, Paul! an absolute honor! Special Thanks to Scott Pivarnick for being the conduit!
