Welcome to the Elevator World News Podcast. This week’s news podcast is sponsored by elevatorbooks.com: www.elevatorbooks.com THYSSENKRUPP BEGINS MOVING IN AT NEW ATLANTA HEADQUARTERS On March 1, thyssenkrupp began transitioning to its new North American headquarters near The Battery and SunTrust Park, home of the Atlanta Braves, in metro Atlanta, with employees moving into the new Business Headquarters (BHQ) building at 3100 North Circle in Pennant Park. Only 10 min. from the company’s future Corporate Headquarters (CHQ) and Innovation and Qualification Center (IQC), the BHQ will house the shared services group across the fourth, fifth and sixth floors. Construction on the CHQ and IQC is on track to begin later this year, with completion anticipated by July 2021, and move-in in summer 2022. When completed, the thyssenkrupp Elevator North America complex will house more than 900 full-time employees and include a 420-ft.-tall test tower — the tallest such tower in the U.S. A groundbreaking for the tower and IQC is scheduled for April 18.
