In this episode of the KGI Podcast, Sandi Mero interviews Susan Schroeter, PharmD '18.

Since graduating from KGI, Susan has served as a Post-Graduate Year 1 Pharmacy Resident at Kaiser Permanente Fontana Medical Center. She has been able to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals in optimizing patient care during their stay at the hospital and following up with them after their discharge.

The integrated healthcare system and continuity of care is what initially drew Susan to pursue this program at Kaiser Permanente, and she aspires to become an Ambulatory Care Pharmacist to help patients manage their chronic diseases. Throughout residency, she has also been actively involved with various pharmacy organizations and here at KGI.

She has supported prospective and current KGI students by helping them with their applications to residency, attending KGI visitation days, volunteering for health fairs and roundtable events, and being their therapist, all the while tending to her family, friends, and a two-year-old daughter.
