The Distant Worlds label boss Paul Rimbaud is back! After his amazing mix for Avenue Red Podcast 104, here he returns to reawaken the dormant Avenue Red 1210 series, where a DJ plays 12 records that are 10+ years old... But being a right dodgy South London geezer he broke the rules and smuggled an extra 7 records into this one! :D In this 1210 selection, Paul digs way back into the 90's ravey, trancey parts of his record collection as he delivers a perfect package that captures the true essence of this corner of dance music history. "I seem to remember recording this mix after a few Discogs binges of cheap 90's records, although there is some old faves from the collection there too. I think nearly all these tunes should still be available on Discogs for pennies too. The idea is of old forgotten guilty pleasures, tunes that people haven't dared to play out in years but all had their moments in time; a bit of rave, proto trance, progressive house etc. Let's face it - it's gonna be audio bovril but I hope it should reignite a few memories in the lucky few of happy, carefree times!
