BANG! @southernvangard #radio presents the Primo Jab & GodBlessBeatz interview session! It’s always a real treat to have folks in-studio for our interview sessions, and this week is no different as Jab & Bless dropped in to talk about all things new & old. This Atlanta by way of Chicago duo have been steadily building a foundation over the past few years that is paying off in a big way in 2019, and they’re celebrating with the release of “Pedro”, a hazy yet gritty 8-song endeavor that features rhyme animals Estee Nack, A. Flip & Flee Lord. We get the low down on the project, why the Dominican Republic is such an inspiration for them and their past work that brought them to this point. Of course we do our history and talk about how hip-hop was a way of life in Oak Park for these two childhood friends, why they started making music together and what eventually brought them down South. We also get the inside scoop on how Bless became one of Flee Lord’s go to producers and the subsequent dream-come-true collaboration with Prodigy of Mobb Deep (RIP). We’ve let out enough, and trust there’s a lot more where that came from - so stop playing, press play, pour yourself a little Brugal and last but not least cop “Pedro” today ‘cause it’s 100% guaranteed to be that #SmithsonianGrade #TwiceAWeek #WeAreTheGard // southernvangard.com // @southernvangard on #applepodcasts #stitcherradio #soundcloud #mixcloud #youtube // #hiphop #rap #undergroundhiphop #boombap #DJ #mix #interview #podcast #ATL #WORLDWIDE #RIPCOMBATJACK Recorded live May 27, 2019 @ Dirty Blanket Studios, Marietta, GA southernvangard.com @southernvangard on #applepodcasts #soundcloud #youtube #spotifypodcast #googlepodcasts #stitcherradio #mixcloud #SmithsonianGrade #TwiceAWeek #WeAreTheGard twitter/IG: @southernvangard @jondoeatl @cappuccinomeeks
