Animal trainers get the wrongful title of someone who "starves their animal" to get it to do tricks... this couldn't be farther from the truth.

As professional trainers, we depend on these amazing feathered family members to put food on our table, and in return, we are both naturally and morally inclined to give them the best life possible!

Using too much food management, or the "starvation technique" is not only a misconception, but it's down-right harmful for your pet parrot on a psychological level as well as an emotional and physical level too.

In this episode of the Parrot Training Podcast we expose how we use the Natural Nourishment Routine to motivate to work with our parrots' NATURAL inclination to search for food, and use that opportunity to shape desired behaviors.
