We talk about his early work on emotions and the autonomic nervous system before discussing the work he does at NASA. Our conversation covers measuring performance in pilot, hypoxia, mental workload, using fNIRS to capture pilot attention, use and abuses of wearable sensors and ethical issues around performance monitoring.
