Letta Rhoda “Lettie” Fouché (née McDonald) het Nellie Swart as staatspresidentsvrou opgevolg. Sy was die eggenoot van staatspresident Jim Fouché, wat na dr. Dönges se dood staatspresident geword het. Sy is in 1993 soos volg beskryf:
