Christ overcame the mountains of provocations and the hills of unbelief in order to save his people. May we learn to discern his voice in grateful acknowledgment of his love for us.

The feet of the wicked which are swift in running to mischief is a rebuke to all Christians who lack that degree of zeal for the Lord and His work. Being rebuked, may we reform.

James was addressing Christians who were inclined to respect the rich and shun the poor. Christians must give proper respect to the rich and poor alike.

Paul's gospel preaching brought remarkable success in Ephesus despite much opposition. It was brought about through the Holy Spirit blessing the systematic and persistent labours of Paul.

In the closing verses of the first chapter of James, the writer highlights three marks that accompany a genuine Christian profession- self-control, charity, and purity.

Luke tells us of seven powerless priests, who were invoking the name of Christ to perform exorcisms, who were set upon by a man who had an evil spirit. The event led to the furtherance of the gospel cause in Ephesus.

Today is the time to proclaim that the Lord Jesus Christ is the sinner's friend. No one truly has the best interest of the sinner at heart than the Saviour.
