“DJing is about storytelling. It is about connecting with the crowd not by playing something they already know but about creating a vibe, a pulse, euphoria.” Rain Sim lives this philosophy of DJing. He does this every time he is behind the deck. Rain Sim has been a Trance addict since 2004. His first encounter with the genre was when he and his friends were playing a video game with a soundtrack which featured Trance artists such as Thomas Bangalter, Robert Gitelman, Art of Trance, and others. The appreciation of Trance escalated quickly from enjoying the music to a passion for the genre. In the year 2007 with the influences of Tiesto and Armin Van Buuren, Rain Sim began to mix his own music and would hone his talent by practicing at home and performing occasional gigs at clubs and bars in Manila. His melodic and vocal sound, not only produces a beat but also tells a story which quickly made Rain Sim a much sought after DJ of this generation.
