Welcome to First Presbyterian Church of Big Spring, Texas. We are a church home with room and a heart for you! We have been in Big Spring for nearly 120 years and look forward to being here many, many more. The members of our congregation come from all walks of life, which brings us a wonderful sense of the community. We are drawn together by a sincere love for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and a sense that we are called to be His body, His hands and His heart to reach out to community around us and the world beyond. We value reverent, traditional and vibrant worship, education for all ages, and the opportunity to respond to the grace of our Lord’s forgiveness through opportunities of service. We recognize that every person is gifted by God with special graces and abilities, and we seek to allow each one to put their personal gifts and interests to work in ministry for the glory of God. We are a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA) which means we are a church in the Reformed tradition. By the nature of our constitution, we are a connectional church, accountable to brothers and sisters in faith throughout this country and around this world. Come join us, as we praise and give thanks to the Lord!

Isaiah 35: 1-6, 10 - This Flower, whose fragrance tender with sweetness fills the air, Dispels with glorious splendor the darkness everywhere; True man, yet very God, from sin and death He saves us, And lightens every load. From Mary, we see that because of God’s Mercy, God’s Story, and God’s Glory, we can and must recognize that in Christ we are in fact “favored”, “dignified” and “seen by God - regarded by Him” more than deserve, but let us also not see ourselves as more “favored” than we actually are.
