Reading this book again this week made me really upset. Got me questioning a lot of issues surrounding emotional and physical abuse in Nigerian families.

My mantra for 2020 is to be more conscious of what I do and what I don't do.

The good, the bad and the ugly.

This is something I've been struggling with for years. I'm hoping this this episode - and the conversations we'll have in response, will give me answers. Islam is perfect. But Muslims are not. Is it possible for Muslim women to be feminists?

Social media is slowly making it easy for strangers online to dig up information on you within seconds. Public shaming might be necessary but can be disproportionate in some cases. Who regulates these? Who decides what to do with what information? Who's the judge and jury for the court of twitter?

In 6 months, I've changed my career choice three times. To three completely unrelated options. I'd like to think that this isn't as 'weird' as I'm perceiving it to be. Please listen and share your similar experiences.

It's nice to have people around you that constantly check up on you etc. However, what we don't talk about enough is the extra burden placed on the other person to give an explanation. Which sometimes, might result to overcompensation. You appreciate the gesture, but deep down, you don't understand what's going on. Hence you can't give any explanat…

Sometimes, it's not about the war, it's about the mini battles that have been won. The otherwise insignificant battles. Set measurable goals. And remember to celebrate your little wins. You deserve it. Give yourself a round of applause for how far you've come.
