Is this guy's name seriously Travis Touchdown?
The Xbox Game Pass “Surprise Me” button sure seems to enjoy having our hosts jump into the middle of a franchise. This time the selection is the third numbered, but fourth chronologically in the hack and slash adventure series developed by Grasshopper Manufacture. For those unaware, the franchise began on the Wii in the days of rampant motion controls and then went on a bit of a hiatus until the Nintendo Switch arrived, allowing for a return to similar waggle-friendly mechanics. With that said, we are curious to see how those design choices are reconfigured on this port for PC and Xbox consoles. Combining traditional frantic beat ‘em ups with an aesthetic that borders on manic, we also wonder if it will seize the nostalgic minds of Tom and Chris or just leave them with seizures. Our hosts have played their hour and now they must convene to decide if it’s worth at least a few of yours. Let’s find out!
