We are kicking off the year in fine style as Dave Columbo Jenkins is joined by the one and only Mandidextrous for an epic and inspiring deep dive into their career so far.
From their free party roots to their current status as one of the most unique individuals in drum & bass culture, Mandi chats in detail about their development from being entrenched in underground DIY culture to becoming a pioneer of their own sounds Jungle Tek and Speed Bass... Two 4x4 sounds that have had a game-changing influence on drum & bass in very recent times.
Smashing down boundaries and barriers, and setting benchmarks for fellow non binary artists, Mandidextrous has had one of the most positive impacts on drum & bass culture imaginable.... And is definitely showing no signs of slowing down.
We caught up with them at the end of 2023 just days after they won the Critics Choice Award at the Drum&BassArena Awards but before the awards show had gone live. FYI: we reckon Mandi's going to have an even bigger 2024.
