Are you satisfied with where you are with the Lord? Are you settling down with yesterday's achievements? Bishop Franco Onaga from Watoto Ministries in Uganda, challenges us to prepare for a new anointing from God, and to prepare for a new move of God in your life. Sadly however, so many of us are stuck in our old ways when we need to open our eyes because God is doing something new.…
Is your faith like walking on water, without doubting Jesus' power? Do you dare to leave the boat? Pastor Francis Kalembera continues with our theme of Deepening our Roots, by taking us through the book of 2 Peter 1 - encouraging us to face our fears and to keep our eyes focused on Jesus Christ. Although we may feel like failure at times, just as Peter felt when he denied Christ and had little faith in Him, we are reminded throughout Scripture that God uses imperfect people for His purpose. If Jesus can use faith the size of a mustard seed to work miracles, just imagine what He will do if we deepen our roots in Christ who strengthens and grows our faith.…
It doesn't matter what it looks like where you are today - good, bad or indifferent. Today is the day of new beginning. You can start afresh today. You can choose to do it right now. You can choose to deepen your roots into the soil of discipleship, so you are consistently and constantly becoming transformed into the image of Christ Jesus. Pastor Harlyn Purdy returns to the Book of Isaiah 61 for the second and final installment of the sermon titled, "Deepening our Roots".…
Join Pastor Harlyn Purdy for today's message from Isaiah 61: Deepening Our Roots. When a tree takes root, it is not long before you begin to see the effects above ground. It's the same way with people. The deeper you root your life in Christ Jesus, the stronger you will become.
Of all the ways the Lord God Almighty could have chosen to relate to humanity, He chose the language of family. Therefore it is no wonder the family unit has always played an important role in the outworking of God's purposes on earth. However in today’s demanding world we find that more and more parents are not keeping to what really matters, rather neglect their personal devotional lives, their husbands or wives, and their children. Today's message reminds us of the scriptural priority of God first, family second, career and ministry third. Although parents are responsible to provide for their children's material needs, their primary role is to provide spiritual and moral training of their children. We all have a need to be loved, cherished, protected, and valued. Many times earthly fathers do not live up to the ideal, God promises that, in Him, no one has to be without a perfect Father. And we can come to our heavenly Father through our Savior Jesus Christ.…
Pastor Harlyn Purdy teaches that "Stewarding the Gospel" is more than just preaching the Gospel of salvation. But it is also about having transformed lives through the Kingdom of God in Christ Jesus. We’re reminded that although the church is successful in preaching the Gospel, it fails in discipleship. We hope that today’s message will move you and encourage you to not only preach the Gospel, but to teach, train, equip and walk together with those who have received Christ as their savior.…
Pastor Francis Kalembera continues with our May theme: "Managing Devine Treasure." 1 Peter chapter 4 verse 10, reads: "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms." God wants us to know that our gifts are not an accident of genetics and experience. He has intentionally given us the gifts we have for the progress and joy of one another’s faith. Therefore, He has entrusted our gifts to us primarily for the benefit of others. Our lives are not about pursuing our dreams. Our real significance comes from God choosing us in Christ, gifting us, and deploying us in his kingdom for his purposes.…
We continue with our May theme: "Managing Divine Treasure". In today's message, Pastor Harlyn Purdy teaches us that we all have received a gift of ability from God which we need to nurture, develop and train for Kingdom purpose. Although God has given us a choice on how to use our abilities, every choice we make matters when "Stewarding Spiritual Gifts".…
We begin with a new theme this month which we pray will help you know how to 'Manage Divine Treasure'. Today we welcome guest speaker Henry Kachaje who shares fundamental Biblical stewardship of our work. He also reminds us that work is not a curse but a blessing from God, given right at the beginning of creation before sin entered the picture.…
We’ve all been there before, where we just wanted to quit. You pray day in and day out but you find no positive change in your life. You start comparing your life with others and think why it is only you that is going through hardship and troubles whilst others seem to be prospering and blessed. As the days, months and perhaps even years go by, your worries of life grow and you start loosing hope. Pastor Harlyn Purdy reminds us that even though you may not see God’s work in your life right now during your suffering, He hasn’t forgotten you. And just as Jesus told his disciples to always pray and not give up, we too need to remember what to do before giving up.…
What is love? Love is defined in the dictionary as an intense feeling of deep affection to someone. In fact this is the kind of love that we hear and see in Hollywood movies and music of today, which rarely portrays the type of love that we actually need. That's because worldly love is focused on the temporal and to one self, often to the exclusion of God and others. Biblical Godly love, agape, is a stark contrast to the love of the world. It's unconditional love. It's more than just a feeling or emotion. The Bible says, "Let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and truth", (1 John 3:18). But how do we express love in action towards God and others? Tune in to listen to Pastor Harlyn Purdy's teaching this week on "Love in Action".…
We all know we need to learn to pray more and to pray better. But why should we pray? Does God even hear us when we pray? How do we pray and what do we pray for? Join Pastor Harlyn Purdy to get answers to these questions and more. We hope this message will help you to pray boldly and with sincerity and humbleness before our Father in Heaven in Jesus' name.…
Prayer is the most important task for a Christian. In today's teaching, Pastor Harlyn Purdy demonstrates that one way we can learn to pray is by looking at the prayer life of Jesus. We hope that this message will encourage you to put prayer first in your life, just as Jesus emphasized the importance of prayer. As you spend more time with the Lord in prayer, you will find comfort and peace in the midst of life's challenges while being more aware of God's will.…
Today we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ - the only one through whom we are reconciled to God. It's the most important series of events in the history of the world was the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. This assures us that if we truly trust and obey Jesus, He will one day raise us from the dead also. In fact the resurrection of Jesus Christ is the greatest proof that He is indeed the Christ, the Son of the living God. Pastor Harlyn Purdy reminds us of the very foundation of the Gospel by which we are saved - the good news of forgiveness of sins, a means to reconcile with God and a promise of eternal life to all who obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ.…
As we begin the Holy Week with Palm Sunday, Pastor Harlyn Purdy takes us back almost 2000 years ago when we celebrate the King of Kings, Jesus Christ, and commemorate the events of the final days of Jesus' life when He received much praise and adoration from the crowds as He rode into Jerusalem during the Jewish passover festival.…
We continue with our March theme: The Way of the Cross with a powerful message by Pastor Francis Kalembera that will have you thanking Jesus for his grace, love and sacrifice. We study some of the different aspects of what God accomplished on Calvary by the death and resurrection of Jesus.
We begin a new month with a new theme: The Way of the Cross. As we near the end of lent, we encourage you to continue to take this time to repent, pray, fast, reflect and exam your faith and relationship with Jesus Christ. In today’s message Pastor Harlyn Purdy reminds us that God required a price to be paid for sin and that Jesus paid it for each and every one of us through His journey to the Cross. We were redeemed: bought and paid for by the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.…
This week’s message takes us to the book of James chapter 1 and 3 where we learn invaluable Godly wisdom in communicating. How effective would your communication become if you were to engage three simple Godly guidelines in every conversation you had? Pastor Francis Kalembera presents the final installment of our four part series, The Four Pillars of Strengthening Relationships titled "Communication: Getting It Said Well."…
This week’s message is about dealing with conflict while walking in love. Pastor Harlyn Purdy takes us to the book of Acts chapter 6 to illustrate that less than 5 years from its inception the church finds itself in conflict. What causes conflict? How can we address the issue of conflict while maintaining a relationship of Godly love? When the inevitable conflict arises between believers the answer is found in the Word of God.…
We continue with this months theme of The Four Pillars of Strengthening Relationships. In today’s message Pastor Harlyn Purdy helps us to watch and guard our lives by establishing intimacy boundaries in relationships in an ever increasing lost world of infidelity and adultery. We hope that today’s teaching will remind us that married love was created and ordained by God and that intimacy is part of God’s plan for us in the boundaries of a marriage between a husband and a wife.…
We begin this month's theme of The Four Pillars to Strengthening Relationships. Today's message is on Forgiveness and just as our God is a forgiving, gracious and compassionate God, we too need to emulate that in our everyday lives with everyone. Pastor Harlyn Purdy explains the importance of forgiveness and how unforgiveness stands between you and God. But when we forgive it leads to purification of the Spirit and sets you free from carrying a heavy burden.…
Pastor Francis Kalembera explores the book of Matthew and how times of testing will surely come in our lives and that the only way to overcome them is by having the Word of God dwell in you richly. By temptation the devil wants to bring the worst out of you. But the same temptation God wants to bring the best out of you.…
