The Society for Academic Emergency Medicine's (SAEM) mission is to improve patient care by advancing research and education in emergency medicine. The 2006 SAEM annual meeting features leaders in cardiac medicine debating the use of numerous antithrombotic therapies in treating ACS, the use of ischemia markers, and invasive verus noninvasive hemodynamic monitoring.
