I know, I know...we’ve been slack. More accurately, I’ve been slack, and Brendo’s been pulling his weight (I know right!). Feeble excuse given in the pod. Sorry.

But we’re back, and you’ll be pleased to hear we have a guest. Meyrick kindly invited us on to his pod (Meyrick’s Dabbling Path) a month or so ago, and we decided to continue the conversation here. Born in India but now an Australian citizen, he brings a different perspective that we are keen to hear more of. Bitcoin is for everyone, and we all need to spread the message as far as we’re able.

We discuss:

  • How he emerged from the shitcoin and NFT maze
  • Working at a crypto research firm
  • Stopping mining in the early days because it was “making Counter Strike laggy”
  • Working in the banking sector in India
  • Removing legal tender status of the 500 and 1000 rupee note
  • Is it wasting time or is it learning
  • Can you outperform Bitcoin
  • How can Bitcoin fail
  • Meatspace v Twitter at Melbourne Bitcoin meetup
  • The “best” shitcoins are just loyalty programmes
  • Fiat mining for Bitcoin
  • Saylor Academy. Bitcoin for Everyone
  • Backlash from switching to Bitcoin
  • Thoughts on religion and where Bitcoin intersects
  • Are bitcoiners better people
  • Bitcoin in India
  • How Bitcoin fits with the Islamic view of money
  • Podcast plans
  • Privacy and KYC free coins
