1. How did Do What Matters Most come about?
2. You talk about three habits that less than 1% of people do, that you call life-changing. What are the habits?
3. What are two of your biggest lessons learned that came from the time-management/productivity research?
4. Which of the three habits would you say is your favorite and would have the biggest impact in someone’s life?
5. You mentioned that these habits will increase productivity by 30 – 50%, can you expound on that?
6. Do you have a couple of examples of how these habits impacted a person’s life or a team in an organization?
So welcome to this edition of 22nd century management with Ken. I am glad that those of you that are here are here with us today. I am really fortunate that I have a fascinating guest. Uh, Steve Shallenberger. He is the, uh, founder and one of the, uh, partners, I guess we'll call it cause it's he, uh, he and his son in becoming your best global leadership and that company is devoted to helping individuals and organizations achieve their maximum potential.
Uh, Steve is a successfully led companies in four different industries. He has a keen understanding of how to thrive in business. So that's a brief introduction. Steve, tell us a little more about you. It's a delight to be with you, Ken. And first of all, I just want to take a moment because Ken is so impressive.
I mean, this is one of the most organized guys I've ever met. Uh, he is so prepared to provide a really quality show that he takes the time in advance. To get together. Like we got together a month ago to go over everything and, and I don't think I've ever had that happen. And then we touch bases again this morning.
And so congratulations. He cares about you and, and, uh, I know your listeners know this Ken, but Ken is one of the best and helping service manager. No, how to manage people like at the very top level of treating them right. Get in the bath out of people and managing this through. So it's an honor to be with you and your listeners today, Kim.

I was raised in San Francisco bay area as a young man and grew up there. Uh, we had there. Uh, eight of us that lived in a 900 square foot house. My parents were divorced at 14, so I had to learn how to work and, and help out with the situation. I, uh, actually was a garbage man, worked for the Vallejo garbage company.
We'd get up at four 30 in the morning and go stand in line. And hopefully somebody wouldn't show up and I could take their place that day. And, uh, it was quite an experience. Uh, but I learned a lot. And then when I was 16, my grandpa, uh, never underestimate the influence of a grandparent. Uh, introduced me to a wonderful man who became my first mentor, really?
Uh, I didn't know the word mentor existed, but I was about to meet one. And his name was Dave conquer is a real estate. Broker in Northern Kelly had real estate offices in five cities and he took me under his wing. He taught me how to, uh, about the importance of reading books. He introduced the richest man in Babylon to me and how to win friends and influence people.
