23 Hours is a project created by the ACLU of Nevada to create a living archive of the voices of those impacted by solitary confinement with the intention of capturing and sharing the fullest version of the collective story. If a single story has the power to change our hearts and minds, our collective stories have the potential to create lasting change.
In this podcast, we take you into The Hole to speak with survivors who have been or are currently in solitary confinement to discuss their experiences, living conditions, mental and physical health, available resources and programs, and more.
In later episodes, we are joined by advocates and experts who speak to the harmful impacts of this cruel and degrading practice and the need to end it through legislative action and policy changes.
