I have collected as many differences as I can find between the 2 categories of phone in the same series to answer the question "What cuts equal up to $200 less phone?" Corrections: the Tensor G3 is fabricated on a 4nm process. I left out the fact that the 8a doesn't have ultra wide autofocus and because of this, it does not support macro photography. I also left out the fact that neither the ultra wide lens nor the front facing camera on the 8a support 4K 60 video recording. David Kogan reports that the 8a's main camera does not support the 8's 2x sensor crop, which is the first time I have heard that in the year over year use of that particular sensor.
