Allegra Spender and staff of Zoe Daniel have been accused of seeking to influence the Australian Financial Review’s Power List on behalf of their billionaire donor, and founder of Climate 200, Simon Holmes a Court.
As the paper was finalising the secret list, it is alleged Wentworth MP Allegra Spender walked into the AFR’s Canberra bureau seeking to have Mr Holmes à Court taken off the list.
It is alleged a staff member of fellow teal MP Zoe Daniel rang the paper earlier with the same request.
Luke Grant chats with Deputy Opposition Leader Susan Ley about what these claims reveal about the Teals Independents supposed commitment to transparency and independence.
