Hello, and welcome to Against The Norm Podcast! My name is Egypt Clayton and my boyfriends name is Josh Thompson we have contemplated creating a podcast for sometime now and here is why, our lives took a drastic turn when we moved to Los Angeles 3 years ago. Los Angeles was a different energy than we were not accustomed to. With this new energy came a brand new perspective. Our desire to learn increased tenfold. We question everything from religion and spirituality, to politics, and everything in between. Our main focus was to try to figure out what triggered our minds in unison to make such a huge 180 degree shift. We did the only thing that made sense and that was to research as much as we could about the events that occurred. We finally stumbled upon the answer and that was none other than God. Fast forward 3 years of pain and growth later we are ready to share our new perspective on God, religion, politics, the media, self growth etc. Throughout this podcast we will discuss how finding different ways to communicate with God helped us find joy within every aspect of our lives. 3 years ago my boyfriend and I started on this journey against the norm, to try to figure out what our life purpose is; what are we supposed to be doing here on earth?
