Nothing is clearer in the Bible than this: every Christian can and ought to win souls. To be a soul winner means to cause people to realize their need of Christ as personal Saviour and to lead them to commit themselves fully to Him, with their whole hearts and lives. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/david-sain/support…
“The church is looking for better methods; God is looking for better men.” (E. M. Bounds) If you call yourself a Christian, you have already been witnessing — for or against Him. If you have claimed to belong to Him, but your life does not back up your words, men and women have rejected Christ and the Gospel because of you. That is why Jesus said, “He that is not for Me is against Me; and he that gathers not with Me scatters abroad.”( Matthew 12:30, Luke 11:23) --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/david-sain/support…
According to the Gospel of Matthew, Palm Sunday was the first time Jesus ever appeared in the great, bustling city of Jerusalem. Jesus knew that His ministry would not be complete and His mission would not be successful unless and until He took His gospel message from the small towns of Galilee in the northern part of Israel and declared it in the great Temple in Jerusalem. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/david-sain/support…
Nearly 500 years ago, this week, William Tyndale, fondly called 'Father of the English Bible' was strangled and burned at the stake after being tried and convicted of heresy and treason for translating the Bible into English. HIS OFFENSE! He translated the Greek Bible into English. We have a Bible in a language we all can read largely due to his labours, and many of the very phrases you read in it retain the flavour of his understanding of the Greek and Hebrew. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/david-sain/support…
This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:5-7 --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/david-sain/support…
The moral government of God is the method God uses to get free moral beings created in His image to live according to the way He designed them to live. A word of encouragement from the Lord. You’re trials do have purpose and we can choose to draw nigh unto God and He will draw night unto us. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near. Hebrews 10:23-25 --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/david-sain/support…
First of all, nowhere does it say that Christ is imputed to you as righteousness, it does say faith is accounted / reckoned as righteousness. The proclamation in Jeremiah 23;6 ‘The Lord our righteousness’, is speaking of the Righteous branch raised up from the house of David through which the faithful will be saved; not anything transferred to the believer from Christ. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/david-sain/support…
Hebrews 12:14 says without holiness "no one shall see the Lord.” First of all holiness is not necessarily a state in which there is perpetual rapturous joy. Isaiah 53:3 tells us that Jesus was 'a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief,' and Paul tells us of himself that he had continual sorrow and great heaviness because of the rejection of Jesus by his kinsmen after the flesh. Joy is the normal state of a holy man, but it may be mingled with sorrow and grief and perplexities and heaviness on account of manifold temptations. The third heaven experiences that we may have is not likely to be constantly maintained. Jesus and the disciples had to come down off the Mount of Transfiguration and go to casting out devils, and Paul returned from the third heaven to be buffeted of Satan, and stoned and whipped, and imprisoned of men. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/david-sain/support…
With regards to Proverbs 29:18 “Where there is no vision” simply means no teaching of the Word of God, which was brought to the people by the prophets, who received the Word from the Lord through visions. In 1 Samuel 3:1 it states: And the child Samuel ministered unto the LORD before Eli. And the word of the LORD was precious in those days; there was no open vision. Amos 8:11-12 further states: Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/david-sain/support…
Eagles are among the most amazing creatures that God created. Solomon himself wrote in Proverbs, “There are three things which are too wonderful for me, Four which I do not understand: The way of an eagle in the sky.” Proverbs 30:18-19 For us to live long we need to constantly change our way of life. Change is needed in order to survive; to get rid of old memories, habits and other past traditions; and o free from past burdens. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/david-sain/support…
Jesus came to save his people, the ones who would freely come to Him, out of their sins not in their sins. What is sin? Sin is transgression of the moral law of God according to 1 John 3:4. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/david-sain/support
You can go three weeks without food and three days without water. How would we look if we we’re in such a condition? We wouldn’t make it too far in life. What’s our condition looking like this morning. You want to know how to be blessed. Let’s look at a passage of scripture this morning that teaches how to be blessed. This whole chapter is known as the sermon on the mount and the beatitudes which should be the attitude of every believer (obeyer) of the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. Matthew 5:8 Righteousness: is integrity, virtue, purity of life, rightness, a state of approval by God, he who does what is right is righteous. 1 John 3: 7-8 --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/david-sain/support…
Proverbs says to search for understanding as for silver, because it is in the end more valuable than gold. Man is able in his natural state to reason with God in the process of repentance proven by deeds. Denial of human ability to do what God has commanded makes true redemption impossible! --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/david-sain/support…
