Podcast for F1 fans in America. Predictions, recaps, outrageously hot takes, and plenty of shit talking.
Brazil always offers an amazing race weekend, and this one was no letdown. We dive into a shock pole from Haas, a resurgent Mercedes, a new Grand Prix winner, penalties, and try to wrap our heads around WTF is going on at Red Bull between Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez. Plenty more to talk about, so just click start and enjoy the show!…
After a quick podcasting break, we're back in action for a recap of what's happened since Mexico. We discuss the implication of Red Bull's budget cap breach, a "Still We Rise" Mercedes, Haas' still unresolved seat, and a Pierre Gasly conspiracy theory. We absolutely love Brazil and the sprint weekends. While the championship is signed, sealed, and delivered, there is so much we're pumped about for this weekend.…
One of the best races of the season graced us from Austin, TX. One of the hosts was there, but couldn't pull off a press pass so he sat in GA and experienced it the way it was meant to be. We break it all down, from the epic Seb battle, Haas scoring at home, Alonso flying a plane, erm... car, and George punting a Spaniard. This one is a fun one!…
A truly bonkers race day for the Japanese Grand Prix. Wet weather, more FIA controversy, some scary moments, and a shock champion. We dive into exactly how Max became the world champion when nobody thought the weather-delayed race would be awarded full points. Plus breaking news about the cost cap findings on the 2021 season, was Red Bull in breach? Just how much, what penalties could come down, and what do we think they should do to avoid this issue in the future?…
WE'RE BACK RACING! F1 is back with a fantastically entertaining race under the lights in hot and humid Singapore. Rain threw a wrench into the weekend and created a grid setup that would not disappoint. We dive into all the action, cover the latest controversies surrounding the FIA Race Direction, the FIA Budget Cap Audit, and the FIA Wet Race Procedure, notice a trend here? And don't worry, we talk plenty of shit about a certain Brit driver who we have just had enough of. Let's go!…
Another weekend with no racing, but big news dropping with the release of the record-breaking 2023 calendar. We talk through all of the exciting tracks on the calendar, one that is missing, and give you our final best guesses at the drivers market. Plus, plenty of off topic banter... It's not a race week remember?…
A surprise pole from Leclerc on a track predicted to suit Red Bull combined with a grid drop for Verstappen created the perfect conditions for an entertaining race. The LBTH crew breaks it all down, gets off track with the British Monarchy, and discusses why everyone is once again talking about the last lap controversy of Abu Dhabi 2021. Again... It's the last race before the "fall break" but we ain't leavin'! Stay turned for some fun break content.…
Okay so let's get this out there. There are a lot of bonkers conspiracy theories coming out about the Dutch GP, we'll explain what people are saying, and why they probably are on some sketchy drugs. We discuss why Mercedes was in a position to be the team to beat, Ferrari with a poor showing, and discuss the latest drama around Super Licences and rising American star Colton Herta's pursuit of an F1 seat. All of that is ahead of our Monza preview. Just a warning, we had a number of audio file issues and unfortunately had to revert to a backup file. We try quite hard to give you the best audio quality possible for our budget setup, and this one has quite a bit of audio glitches and imbalance. We've done what we can to try and fix it, but it's still not up to our standards. With that being said, we think the issues we discuss in this pod are too important to not put out an episode, and re-recording it wouldn't be genuine Late Brakes. So... we'll be back next week with better audio! Thanks for hanging in there.…
F1 racing is back! We break down all of the somewhat limited action at Spa, which was capped off by an out-of-this-world performance from Max Verstappen and a mixed-up starting grid thanks to loads of engine penalties. Once again, we talk about Ferrari's mistakes and dive into the drama between Hamilton and Alonso. Racing is back and we are here for it!…
It's finally race week again, but we have just a little more summer content to share with you, and this one is fun and dedicated to our American fans. With the return of F1 and college football here in America, we break down the stereotypes about all of the F1 teams and figure out which college football teams best represent them. Plus we talk a little about the coming changes to the floor and preview what could be our last visit to Spa for a few years. It's race week again baby!…
We talk a LOT of shit about teams and drivers, and we go up and down giving compliments to the drivers we dislike the most. Plus, what would we do if we were dictators of F1 for just a day? Which rules would we change, who would we ban, and what would we do differently? I heard one host wants to bring Super Soakers in the pitlane. This one gets weird.1…
It's called the silly season for a reason. There's nothing better than a bit of driver contract and seat drama to keep the podcast going over the summer break, and just in time to give us something to talk about other than Ferrari. Plus we recap where we stand in our preseason hot takes and predictions. Some of us are pretty on point, others are way off, and some we just can't agree on. Join us! To our listeners - If you love the show, please leave a review. If you hate the show, just leave us a 5-star review and talk trash to us. In all seriousness, give us some feedback and let us know what you want to hear more of in the second half of the season. Peace!…
We cover... another... Ferrari let down, a Red Bull come back, and we dive deep into the start of the silly season following two big driver announcements.
We're a bit late this week so rather than our usual race recap, we talk about Ferrari woes, George Russell, Haas and their long-awaited update, and an apology from one of our hosts. We're pumped for Hungry.
No race last weekend, but we've got France coming up. We highlight the track, discuss our hottest French takes, drop a few subtle Tour de France references, and give our predictions for the race at Circuit Paul Ricard.
