Nadia opens up about her struggle to fit in while rediscovering her Mauritian roots, and Ian and Ollie discuss how life changes reshaped their identities as a stay-at-home dad and a former rugby player. We'll also hear from Afolabi, who connects to his identity to find his voice to challenge societal norms, and Anjali, who beautifully sums up the importance of being loved for who we truly are. I was so excited when my guest this week said 'yes' to coming on the podcast. It's not every day that you have a sought-after leadership speaker and author of multiple leadership books agree to sit down and have a chat with you! Emmanuel Gobillot is described as ‘the first leadership guru for the digital generation’ and ‘the freshest voice in leadership today’, He has advised organisations across the globe for over 20 years, and his consulting work includes developing leaders, establishing teams, and changing cultures - all of which has been based on his mantra – ‘there must be a better way and together we can find it'. I first met Emmanuel almost 20 years ago, and it was an absolute joy to learn more about him - including how his desire to entertain at school led to him being forced to wear a donkey's hat, his teenage desire to sign a world peace treaty, how he learnt to debate at St Andrew's university, that he is terrified before he goes on stage (and he speaks on some pretty big stages!) and why he wrote his latest book 'This is Not a Leadership Book'. This is truly one not to miss! You can pre-order Emmanuel's book here: https://amzn.to/4b9u4Ch And find his other books here: https://amzn.to/3HGHlVj Emmanuel's book recommendation is: Love is the Killer App by Tim Sanders - https://amzn.to/3SGrRHi There is a transcript of this podcast available that is automatically generated, therefore we cannot guarantee it is 100% accurate.
