Seit Jahrzehnten hat das Thema Atomenergie die Menschen in Deutschland beschäftigt, es hat gespalten und polarisiert. Im Herbst 2020 beginnt nun die "heiße" Phase der Endlagersuche in Deutschland. Am 28. September 2020 veröffentlicht die "Bundesgesellschaft für Endlagerung" den "Zwischenbericht Teilgebiete" und damit Orte, die aus geologischer Sicht als Endlagerstandort für hochradioaktive Abfälle in Frage kommen können. Aber was heißt das? Wie und von wem wurden diese Gebiete ausgewählt? Was passiert nun? In insgesamt sechs Folgen erklären Expertinnen und Experten im neuen bpb-Podcast "Auf Endlagersuche".
