The series will be directed by Francesca Gardiner and Mark Mylod, both veterans of the Emmy-winning 'Succession'. Gardiner, the showrunner, has also worked on HBO's 'His Dark Materials', while Mylod directed episodes of 'Game of Thrones' and 'The Last of Us'.
HBO promises a 'faithful adaptation' of J.K. Rowling's books. Rowling herself is confident in the team's vision.
