What’s Your Vision?

“I am not afraid... I was born to do this.” - Joan of Arc

When we believe in our calling, when we believe in our purpose, when we believe in our mission, fear cannot stop us.

Yesterday, I used the example of Jesus. I know some of y’all were thinking, ‘ but yeah he’s Jesus’.

Joan of Arc was a 17 year old peasant girl who so believed in her vision that she rallied the as yet uncrowned king of France and his army.

Dressed as a man she personally led the army on a string of victories that are credited with turning the tide of the 100 Year War and inspired a nation to victory.

Captured and sold to the British, she was given a chance to live if she put on women’s clothing and recanted her visions. She did neither.

She was burned at the stake at the age of 19. She is remembered as the patron saint of France. A peasant girl with a vision changed the course of history.
