Machine Gun Kelly is a lot of things. Being considered by many as the unofficial poster-child of the new pop-punk/emo revival movement in pop music, MGK is universally hated just as much as he is loved. He is repeatedly clowned for his shaky credibility behind his darker lyrics and basic songwriting, while on the other hand he is praised by his fans for his revamped rockstar image and catchy songs.

“mainstream sellout” is MGK’s first full length album since his record-breaking commercial rebranding in “Tickets to My Downfall”. The album features artists from both the rap and pop worlds such as Lil Wayne, Young Thug, Gunna, iann dior, blackbear, & WILLOW. Also featured are some unexpected collaborations such as Travis Barker’s son, Landon Barker, and Oliver Sykes of Bring Me The Horizon.

Here is our review of Machine Gun Kelly’s sixth studio album, “mainstream sellout”.

Date Recorded: April 3rd, 2022.
