In this episode we continue the conversation noting that Blue Note Records was one of the first record labels that took Jazz seriously. They documented some of the greatest Jazz musicians of all time. We continue to appreciate the style that Blue Note Records had of rehearsing the musicians prior to the recording sessions, and the unique artwork of the album covers. Our favorite handpicked selections will most certainly make your playlist. Songs include:

  1. Horace Silver – Song for My Father
  2. Joe Henderson – Inner Urge
  3. John Coltrane – Blue Train
  4. Jackie McLean and Tina Brooks – Melonae’s Dance
  5. Lou Donaldson – Blues Walk
  6. Horace Silver – Rain Dance
  7. Dexter Gordon - Cheesecake
