In episode 10, AFLCA Member Services Manager Greg Hutchison chats with current Gold Coast SUNS Coach Stuart Dew. Stuey's playing career includes 2 premierships, one at Port Adelaide in 2004 and the other at Hawthorn in 2008, a game which will be remembered for his 3 minute burst in the 3rd quarter, in which he kicked 2 goals and set up another 2 to swing the game. After retiring in 2009, he joined Sydney as an assistant coach and was part of the Swans 2012 premiership . At the end of 2017 he got the top job at the SUNS. In the podcast, Stuey chats about everything from his early playing days at Central District (1:27), being coached by Jack Cahill & Mark ‘Choco’ Williams during his career at Port Adelaide and the influences on his career (7:40), to how he came to be at the Hawks and the 2008 Grand Final (28:49). He also takes us through his coaching journey at Sydney under Roos & Longmire (39:32)and now to coaching the Suns (51:40) & how Chris Fagan’s philosophy from his early days at Brisbane has helped him so far (1:02:16), plus much more.
