Question, is it really necessary to continue to do the things that no longer bring you joy out of obligation to others, or even expected traditions?

As the Autumn season is coming upon us it reminds me of how I’ve taken on an approach known as both/and. Multiple years ago I decided to take on Thanksgiving for my family, yet I wanted to fit my comfort level of my hosting style. I can remember my mom cooking for a few days, prepping the house for a week, and not having an ounce of joy before, during or after the process.

This is the notion of either I do it all myself, or it won’t come out right. Another question, who was really benefiting in this scenario? No one ultimately, if you pause to think about it and I’m certain this isn’t an unfamiliar approach. Get out my way and let me unhappily do it by myself!

Today, I'll be exploring why it's important that we pause and access our current believes on being either/or in a given situation. While exploring a new concept that I've implemented with my own holiday hosting. Yes, the outcomes and the energy were elevated for me and our guest!

Now it's your time to push play and enjoy part 4/4 this Wednesday! It's time to see if you can expand your current mindset that will expand your energy, time and outlooks on different situations in your life.

As always, don't hesitate to share any of your thoughts with me by leaving a voice message on Anchor, or my direct email: ericka@thezestfulmovement.com
