Talib Kweli and DJ Hi-Tek's "Train of Thought" album, released in October of 2000 on Rawkis Records, and was a work that helped define the conscious rap movement of the early 2000s. The album was known for its hard-hitting beats and socially conscious lyrics that tackled issues such as racial inequality, poverty, and the challenges of growing up in America's inner cities.
