Season 5 Podcast 110, A New Voice of Freedom, Argument for the Existence of God, “Classification and Division.”

Nowhere is science more at home than in using the rules of classification and division. Classifying and dividing the animals was the first assignment that Adam had in the Garden of Eden. It was science that taught us the principles of classification, and it was science that set the rules. It was science that gave us Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, and Species. They have mastered the art of classifying everything. However, what is it that gives species the ability to classify themselves? What created the essential attributes? Why is one species different than another? Why do we have red-winged blackbirds, yellow-winged blackbirds, robins, blue jays, etc.? How does flora classify itself, and how does fauna classify itself?

Law, not science, not evolution, not serendipity of circumstances accounts for classification and division. Classification and division are merely a rhetorical pattern or language that describes the effects of law. The only reason we have classification and division is because all creations are governed by law. The only reason we have science is because a complete set of laws governs every sphere, whether that sphere is a kingdom, phylum, class, order, family, genus, or species. That is not just true in the biological world. It is also true in the physical world that includes suns, moons, planets, stars, galaxies, etc. In addition to that all laws are governed by a higher order of laws, and those laws to an even higher set of laws until they reach the top making all laws circumscribed under one great whole which is governed by God, the true creator. No other system would work. Any conflict in law would lead to chaos.

Science, with all of its genius, missed the mark by claiming an accidental universe. That is why their theory leads to chaos or maximum equilibrium. The Christian view leads to eternal order.

The only reason we have law is because of intelligent design. Looking at the order around us, common sense suggests there is only one design and only one designer. Ironically it is science that wants a unified theory of everything but rejects the essential attributes of the only language that describes it. Accident, chance, coincidence, luck, or serendipity are not essential attributes and do not belong in the language of creation.

Science is unable to give us a theory of everything because it establishes its boundaries too narrowly. They only want to give us a theory of everything in their little box bound by time and tethered to temporal laws. Science, which begins in medias res, deals with what exists and not with why it exists. Science will never discover the origin of life for intelligence can have neither beginning nor end, else how does God exist?

Science divides biological science and physical science by principles of classification but does not seek to unify those principles under the same law of creation, though biological life cannot exist unless perfect conditions exist in their physical environment.

Science has not really thought through its cosmic dilemma. Creation is an eternal process and will never end, yet all of science appears to believe that we will suffer a giant heat death. Science also believes that even after a giant heat death, if life occurred once, it can potentially occur again, in an eternal recycling. What form would it take? The answer that science gives reveals their fundamental flaw.

The fundamental flaw in science is this: Even in the knowledge of the necessity of the Goldilocks Zone that makes life possible on earth, science claims that if the universe ended, it would come back in another form. That is because they believe the universe was created by chance.
