“What is it that you recently set your mind on that you made some measurable progress on? What changes did you decide to implement into your life that you have been consistent with? Acknowledge yourself for that. As all of us know, change is not easy by any stretch of the imagination. Therefore, if you have made one and stuck with it, show yourself some appreciation—even if you backslid a couple of times. Don’t worry if you skipped a couple of weeks in your plan to start working out more often, or monitoring your eating habits, or reading more frequently. Did you get back on track? If you did, then everything is fine.
