Hoy repartiremos nuestro programa entre lo que nos quedaba por escuchar de la actuación del exquisito maestro del piano, Tommy Flanagan (1930-2001) desde el legendario club Village Vanguard de Nueva York donde, en aquél Marzo de 1997, le acompañaban Peter Washgington al contrabajo y Lewis Nash a la batería; y, sin movernos del club, pero retrocediendo al año 1988, volveremos a disfrutar de la impecable técnica del indiscutible Número Uno del trombón en la historia del Jazz, Jay Jay Johnson (1924-2001), al frente de su quinteto, con el estupendo saxo tenor Ralph Moore, el muy original Stanley Cowell al piano y dos rítmicos de excepcional talento: Rufus Reid al contrabajo y Victor Lewis a la batería.
