In this special series of readings, Tina reads the letters of Constance Markievicz as she is on the run from the British in the 1920s in an effort to get to know the woman behind the icon.

Constance Markievicz was a suffragette, activist, socialist, and the first woman elected to the Westminster Parliament devoting her life to Ireland's freedom, the poor and women's rights.

In April 1916 Markievicz took part in the Easter Rising, a republican insurrection in Dublin against British government in Ireland.

In the letters we learn more about the woman, her perspective, views, loyalties and incredible sense of community as well as her own perception of herself as a hare 'on the run'
