Do you think the price of food is high?
The NZ Commerce Commission recently ruled that things needed to be looked at, but no major split of the two major grocery suppliers was required. What do you think, is NZ sitting at an empty table?
The cost of food has become questioned in some cases and is certainly affecting the general populous. We have heard plenty of snippets in the news, are you following the story?
This is why we are talking to Ernie Newman, of TUANZ fame who fought for the Telecommunication Users to achieve better competition and better pricing. While the current report from the commission doesn't go far enough in Ernie's appreciation for price reduction we have to find out why? Is it the duopoly, is it covid affected supply chains, we have to find out what the next steps are for our country, lead by a range of people including Ernie.
With a covid affected workforce, now is even a more important time to ensure availability of healthy food and reasonable prices – what do you think?
