He is a Venturer in Residence for the Harvard i-Lab, and a member of the Board of Directors at Lightforce Orthodontics, Sleep Architects. He is a member of the clinical advisory boards and editorial boards at Dentistry Today, Dental Products Report, Dental Economics, Orthodontic Practice US and Dental Sleep Practice Journal.
Dr. Shuman is the creator of the prestigious Cellerant “Best of Class” Technology and “Best of Class” Hygiene Awards, unbiased nonprofit initiatives that, in conjunction with the leading experts in the field, select annually the most important technologies and products in the industry. He served as president of the Pride Institute for 6 years and Vice President of Clinical Education and Strategic Relations at Align Technology for 7 years.
