He received his Masters from Appalachian State and was a graduate assistant football coach. McQuaid began coaching baseball at Nova in 1974. In 45 seasons at Nova McQuaid compiled 947 wins, 18 District Titles, 2 State Championships and 1 National Title. McQuaid spent time coaching football, cross country and took over athletic director duties in 2001. McQuaid is the baseball chairman for the Florida Athletic Coaches Association and a member of the FHSAA Baseball Advisory Committee. McQuaid is in the Florida High School Association and Broward County Hall of Fame. The ABCA Podcast is presented by Netting Pros.
