Clara Wiggins was born an expat in Cuba to British diplomat parents and has been one ever since. She’s lived in eleven countries on five continents, and visited nearly 70. Along the way, she picked up a husband and produced two daughters. She’s worked as a journalist, diplomat, writer, press officer, antenatal teacher, customer service advisor, PA, coffee shop waitress, school cook (although that was only for one day). She now works from home, managing a journal (the International Journal of Birth and Parent Education) and finishing the Expat Partner’s Survival Guide – as well as looking after the kiddies. Listen Clara story about being a life-long expat and get some tips about being a “trailing spouse” or as it’s better termed, an expat partner.
