It is fathers day on Sunday. While it is nice to set aside one day to celebrate fathers. What about the rest of the year. When we talk about parenting the default is the mother. However there are so many documented benefits for both child and father when the dad is fully involved. A father who is actively involved from day one builds his emotional connection to his child. Our culture, media, a mothers view of her role can sometimes distort the importance of a fathers role. We are talking about practical ways for fathers to be more involved.
