Part 1: Dr Mrs Owoola Ambali obtained her PhD in Pharmacognosy from the prestigious University of Ibadan, Nigeria. In this log she shares the impact of inadequate infrastructure while doing research in Africa. Systemic barriers and disadvantages as well as being a woman, a wife, and a mum navigating the landscapes of doing academic research in Nigeria. But against all odds, Dr Mrs Ambali, stands strong with integrity and hard work. She keeps impacting the lives of her students in the Department of Medicine where she currently lectures.
