In this episode of The Source, we speak with journalist and international law and human rights lawyer Dimitri Lascaris about the latest developments surrounding the war in Ukraine. We examine the reasons why the grain agreement between Ukraine, Russia, Turkey and the United Nations was not renewed and also assess the significance of the Russian-African summit held in St. Petersburg on July 27-28. We evaluate recent developments on the battlefield and whether Ukraine's counteroffensive has made any significant progress. Finally, we take a look at Ukrainian President Zelenskyy's peace plan and whether it can bring an end to the war.
