In this week’s episode we recap a conference we attended and were incredibly blessed by. We discuss some of our favorite takeaways from the conference including the importance of the doctrine of God as well as a tiny intro into biblical theology. We also summarize Genesis chapters 1-11 in a speed recap. We point out how we have already seen the beginning of so many doctrines including the doctrine of God, then doctrine of humanity, the doctrine of sin, and even more. We also discuss our favorite takeaways from the first 11 chapters of Genesis. We talk about how in the first 11 chapters of this book we see God as creator, but now we transition for the rest of Genesis to see how God is creating a people for himself through Abraham’s family line.

Quotes:

“Where will the muscle memory of your heart take you when it comes to who God is?” -Elizabeth Woodson

“God’s story of redemption. This is what the Bible is in four words.”

“Why is it important to know the whole narrative of scripture? Because it’s God’s story.” - Caroline Smiley

“It’s inerrant and its sufficient. I know it’s inerrant, but do I believe it’s enough. Do I believe its sufficient.”

“Just because it’s confusing doesn’t mean you have to unconfusify it”

“God desires us to be in relationship with him.”

“The Lord has been teaching me that it’s ok to have questions.”

“Wherever you have the divine and humanity meet there is always mystery.” - Jen Wilkin
