Continuing with our series “Mark My Words”, today Pastor Jodi teaches from Mark Ch. 15. In the story of Jesus going to the cross there is a subplot involving the custom in which a prisoner was set free. A “notorious criminal” named Barabbas, was released rather than Jesus at the crowd’s insistence. Barabbas, like us, went free and instead Jesus paid the penalty for his crimes. What is our relationship to this generous act by our Savior Jesus? We will examine the lives of many who were involved in this seemingly random story, which is a significant example of the Good News of Jesus Christ.
