Gil Esparza had a very adventurous Navy experience, he even switched rates 3 times. He started in Deck, then went on to becom and Radioman. Later on he wanted to get his hands dirty, and crossed over to hull technician. Gil finished out his career as a member of SBU (Special boats Unit), now known as SWCC. His journey took him from hunting submarines and helicopter crashes, to going out for BUDs in Coronado California.
