This week James, Hart and Josh are joined by Dr. Brandon Dupont to discuss the continuing impacts of the COVID-19 from a historical perspective. Dr. Brandon Dupont is an Economic Professor at Western Washington University. He has focused his work on topics related to 19th century banking crises and the history of economics. Brandon teaches courses in microeconomics, the history of economic thought, political economy, and economic history. In this episode of the the Economic Forecaster the team covers stimulus checks, PPP, policy similarities between now and the 1918 Flu and lessons we can learn from the 1918 Flu recovery. They also cover impacts to construction, unemployment and what recovery could look like in the Puget Sound region. 30 minuets of economics never went by so quickly!
