It all started with a message from Tonya to Amy on Instagram. "The Rose is playing a special Lollapalooza after show on Friday, August 4 in Chicago...would you want to go?" Spoiler alert. Amy said "YES," and is now a changed woman. Join us for a very special Afternoona Army and Afternoona Delight collaboration with me (Tona) and Amy as we recap the experience of seeing The Rose at their post Lolla midnight show at The Vic Theatre in Chicago. We take you on a meandering tour through the Chicago suburbs to a local K-Pop store, bubble tea cafe, and dinner and snacks at Joong Boo market before finally heading to the city to wait in a line two blocks long with the lovely, welcoming Black Rose community. Then...the transformative experience of seeing The Rose live, getting home at 3:00 a.m., and decompressing the day after. It's a whole journey, folks, and we're so excited to share it with you!
