Professor Michael O. West's educational pursuits include his B.A., in Politics, from Lake Forest College, an A.M./B.A. in Mathematics and, History, at Harvard University, and his Ph.D., from Harvard University

Professor Michael O. West is a professor of African American Studies, History, and African Studies at The Pennsylvania State University.

His current research centers on the Black Power movement in global perspectives, including a forthcoming book on Kwame Nkrumah and Black Power. Black theology is an integral part of this work
